The MusicXML import feature in Sibelius lets you read files from people who use other music programs. But how can you share your own music created in Sibelius with people who use other programs? Dolet 5 for Sibelius unchains your music by letting you save your scores as MusicXML 2.0 files that Finale, capella, and other music notation programs can read. Unlike with MIDI files, nearly all the musical content - and much of the formatting - is transfered from Sibelius to Finale when using MusicXML files. You can even translate an entire folder of Sibelius scores into MusicXML files in one step. Finally, the limits to digital sheet music exchange are gone. If you have been using our Dolet 4 for Sibelius plug-in, you will be delighted at all the new and improved features in version 5. Transpositions, octave-transposing clefs, hidden staves on systems, system and page breaks, jazz articulations, note-attached arpeggios, and enhanced chord symbols are among the many new features that now translate from Sibelius 6 to Finale. Sibelius 6.1 users will export even more formatting, including score groupings, page and system margins, and default music and text fonts. Both Sibelius 5 and Sibelius 6 users can take advantage of more than 30 additional new and improved features in this update. Dolet 5 for Sibelius is a plug-in for Sibelius 5 and 6 that saves MusicXML 2.0 files. It supports Sibelius versions 5.1 and later, and runs on both Windows and Mac. The Windows version is available as a Windows Installer file. The Mac version is available as a Macintosh disk image, including an automated installer for Mac 10.5 and 10.6 systems. Dolet 5 for Sibelius only works with Sibelius 5.1 and later. To save MusicXML 1.0 files from Sibelius 2.1, 3.1, or 4, order Dolet 1 for Sibelius instead.
