Dolet was a famous French translator of the 16th-century. Our Dolet® software is also a translator, but this time between different music programs that previously would never talk to each other. The new MusicXML import feature in Sibelius 4 makes it much easier to read files from people who use other programs. But it has still been difficult to share your own music created in Sibelius 4 or 5 with people using other programs. Now, Dolet 3 for Sibelius unchains your music by letting you save your scores as MusicXML 1.1 files. Together with Finale 2008 or Dolet 4 for Finale, you can share your music created with Sibelius 4 with people who use Finale, with higher accuracy than ever before. The same is true for the other music applications that read MusicXML 1.1 files. Finally, the limits to digital sheet music exchange are gone. If you have been using our original Dolet 1 for Sibelius plug-in, you will be delighted at all the new and improved features in version 3. Articulations, symbols, rehearsal marks, glissandos, system and page breaks, and single-note tremolos are among the many new features that now translate from Sibelius to Finale. Like Dolet 3 for Finale, Dolet 3 for Sibelius lets you to translate an entire folder of scores into MusicXML format in one step. Dolet 3 for Sibelius is a plug-in for Sibelius 4 and 5 that saves MusicXML 1.1 files. It supports Sibelius versions 4.0, 4.1, and 5.0, and runs on both Windows and Macintosh. The Windows version is available as a Zip file. The Macintosh version is available as a Macintosh disk image. It's the same software, just in different packaging. Dolet 3 for Sibelius only works with Sibelius 4 and 5. To save MusicXML 1.0 files from Sibelius 2.1 or 3.1, order Dolet 1 for Sibelius instead. Learn more about Dolet for Sibelius and its new features, including examples of the differences between using MusicXML and MIDI files to move music from Sibelius to Finale. Due to limitations on Sibelius plug-ins, Dolet 3 for Sibelius is not available in "try-before-you-buy" mode. But you may watch a video demonstration here. A huge congrats, kudos, etc. goes out to Recordare. I just finished a new Tuba Concerto. It was originally in Sibelius and took approximately 1 hour to move to Finale via MusicXML. It came out to 50 pages long after cleaning it up. Thanks again to Recordare for this product that has saved me more hours than I could ever count! - Bryan Doughty, Cimarron Music PressYou may upgrade from Dolet 1 for Sibelius if you purchased the older product from the Recordare Online Store.
